The Chamber shares a building with the Granite Area Arts Council. The riverside building itself is very special to me. I was a part of the organization that saved it from being torn down by planned flood mitigation and then it was sold to GAAC. I'll save that story for another time. The arts council is a very special organization run by dedicated volunteers, they have helped create an art destination in Granite Falls. The K.K. Berge Gallery contains the Imagine Gift Shop and a rotating display in the gallery space. This month's exhibit is one I've been looking forward to, TAWOKAGA: Making Beautiful Things . This exhibit is a collaboration with the Dakota Wicohan program in celebration of creating the Dakota Arts and passing on the techniques to the next generation. It will be on display through September 26th, 2015. |
